Is there a generally accepted percentage or something for the weight of an engine?
Or is it completely dependant on each individual bike?

More out of curiosity than anything lol.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

On bikes like the BMW1200 range there's a big difference between the lightest (the HP2) and the heaviest (GSA) using the same engine - over 50kgs difference in weight with the same basic engine I believe.
Similarly, my KTM690 enduro comes in at 138kg, while the 690SM with exactly the same engine comes in at 154kg.
