Blimey, whats next?
Ambulances made from electric milk floats to save cash?
Police only allowed to arrest people if they look like they're having fun when they're comitting crime? Oh sorry its like that already!!

Although you could argue a bike needs to do something like 400mph to have the same momentum as a HGV doing 60...

or something like that. Can you believe I studied Physics at uni? I can't remember a jot of it.

Still seems stoopid though. Maybe I should move next door to a fire station...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I can see where they are comming from, i've seen the damage a large truck at momentum can do, but i still think its fecking stupid, i'm sad to say that this stubid ban won't be lifted until several people die and a big fuss is made about it.

they could at least alter the guidelines to stress that drivers must use extreme caution at all times when on a call Confused

Emergency services are so called for a reason.

Reason being, there is (normally) and emergency, and the service (Police, Fire, Ambulance) needs to get to that location in a hurry.

Sorry but these vehicles have to get where there going, in a hurry, the sirens on these are to warn people that there coming...

What more can you say. Keep out of the way (obviously not going to happen in 100% of the cases (accidents can and do happen)) but point being, why risk reducing the reaction time of emergency vehicles by reducing the speed at which they can get there.
