I can see where they are comming from, i've seen the damage a large truck at momentum can do, but i still think its fecking stupid, i'm sad to say that this stubid ban won't be lifted until several people die and a big fuss is made about it.
they could at least alter the guidelines to stress that drivers must use extreme caution at all times when on a call ____________________ A scientist crossed a skunk with an owl. He's got a bird that smells but doesn't give a hoot |

Emergency services are so called for a reason.
Reason being, there is (normally) and emergency, and the service (Police, Fire, Ambulance) needs to get to that location in a hurry.
Sorry but these vehicles have to get where there going, in a hurry, the sirens on these are to warn people that there coming...
What more can you say. Keep out of the way (obviously not going to happen in 100% of the cases (accidents can and do happen)) but point being, why risk reducing the reaction time of emergency vehicles by reducing the speed at which they can get there. ____________________ Dreams will get you nowhere, a good kick up the arse will take you a long way.

nuff said
but then again a fire engine does weigh almost the same as a well loaded LGV
anyways, where can I get a siren and blue light? fit one of them to a bog standard motorbike and you got the ultimate filtering machine watch the residents of london eat your dust while everybody else is in gridlock ____________________ A scientist crossed a skunk with an owl. They should put the same limits on traffic cars... 80mph the poor buggers wont get out of the inside lane some days on the motorway
Seriously though, it's damn stupid "sorry we couldn't put your fire out as we had to plod along at the speed limits we have" |
