Not a bad piece of work there bud. Although a little bit of shading around it would make it look better. It would add extra depth.

The top of the cross is a little squif but its barely noticable.

this to me is a really good tattoo, yeah it has imperfections, but it was done by eye and hand, not a bloody photocopier, kudos to the artist man, name and shame him xx

Everytime i read your posts, i read it quietly in my head like most people when they read things to themselves - but in the style and accent of Napoleon Dynamite.

Damn avatars. Rant Over.

O/P = looks good mate, good clean lines... nice size and style.

Too true. I don't know about anybody else, but I often think Ste resembles his avatar and I read his posts in a Russian voice, fvck knows why as his avatar isn't distinctly Russian Confused .

I like it mate. Very nice piece of art and even better since it has a meaning behind it! Definitely worth the time & money imo.

Now with no intention of thread hijacking, I got this piece of sh*t done just over a year ago, and I'm looking to get it covered or improved somewhat. Anybody any suggestions on what to do?

https://i973.photobucket.com/albums/ae216/19sherman92/Photo-0167.jpg

Tattoo artist was not a professional and I regret getting it done solely for this reason. I believe in the whole Carpe Diem thing however so it's not as if it doesn't have meaning. No, it is not supposed to be wonky. Overall just unimpressed. PM me instead of posting here, feel guilty enough already for hijacking this thread!

Karma given Thumbs Up

Cheers,

Steve.

hi, and cheers for all your replys!

I got it done at "Inkspot" in cumbria, and ive been designing it for around 6 months, cost me 100 quid, theres alot of detail that the picture doesnt show due to crap picture/healing process.

im really happy with it, and everytime i see it i remember my grandparents, it has a pretty deep meaning, with lots of good memories!

took abit of time, with outlines, thickening, shading, colour and touch ups, i was his only client that day so we had a break to get some lunch ect.

There's a new place in Grimsby where IIRC they charge £80 an hour.

Shocked

Cheers,

Steve.

Aye some of their stuff did look really, really good. Tempted to go to them for my next one or my coverup.

I'd rather pay the price for some decent work, than skimp on my spending and have to keep going back, getting touch ups, cover ups, etc, like I already have! Sad

Cheers,
Steve

They've normally won awards when they start charging those amounts. Plus city prices. Smile
