Leaky Fuel Tap

Hello again,

I have recently been trying to fix up an old honda mini melody for Uni next year and I've discovered the fuel tap leaks away all my petrol. It seems to be a standard tap (by that I mean it looks the same as the one on my GN125) and I was wondering if it actually matters that I get the part specified by the manual, or if there was a generic one that will do just as well.
I only ask because I can't find the official part on the internet and I'm not really wanting to spend silly money on this.
