Yup, I would say you need a new cable, or maybe even a new instruments.

i still say water ingressed....

if one of ur mates has got the same bike see if u can swap them just to check it (providing theirs doenst do the same Laughing )

if it solves the problem check for a 2nd hand one

or if u want a new one...

00H04331031 is the part number and they are £177.65 (Excluding VAT at 17.5%)

Cheers....

If its a bike bought from a dealer take it back, its a warrenty issue, if its a private purchase, don't fret just yet, contact your dealer to see if it was a recall and they should replace it for you free if not for a small fee.

There was never a recall for the dashboards on this model only the rs125....

Question Question BY THE WAY HAVE YOU HAD YOU FRAME RECALL DONE Question Question Question

It did not affect all of them but 98% of the rs50 and the derbi gpr 50 that we sold the frames used to crack and split and the bike went oneway and the forks went another way... just go to your local dealer and they will check if your frame needs it by goin on the aprilia dealer portal and check your frame number

3 months warrenty usually on a shop bike parts/labour?
It might be a dirty contact or loose one, but if not then it will be the sensor itself (face lift) or the cable (bubble model).
