 |

Anyone else find it difficult to talk on the phone for longer than 3mins. If mates phone then when I get bored I usually just say, right, I'm out of things to say, I'm off, talk to you later on pal. With my girlfriend and all previous girlfriends I find that I'm phoned 6 times a day, and have to feign interest in everything they have to say.
You women out there can bloody talk about absolute crap sometimes. Instead of thinking things out internally, I get all those thought processes over the phone. After 5 min's I'm done in, after 10 mins all enthusiasm in my voice has gone, around the 12min mark I become monosyllabic. But she will keep talking.
How do I stop these calls? I've been nice, I've been nasty, I've tried saying I'm busy, I've even explained this actual message I'm writing now in detail to her. She just likes to talk to me.... which is nice in a way, because she said she hates talking on the phone to other people. But arrrrrggghhhh!!
By the time I get home from work I have nothing much to talk about because she knows it all already. Anyone figured out how to solve this one yet??? ____________________ Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. |

This is easy to solve ... If you shove your unsanitary c0ck* far enough down her throat, you will get 'gobbled off' and she will get a throat infection and not able to talk ....
Win Win!! HTH
*ass-to-mouth should help with that!! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

MrsGixer could talk for England. She doesn't seem to notice if i'm actually listening to her or not because she's so engrossed in her mindless chit-chat.
When she calls me on my mobile, i can actually leave the thing on the desk with her chatting away to herself. As long as i pick the phone up every now and then and make a few 'affirmative noises', she seems quite content just to waffle endlessly on about nothing to no-one.
Likewise, whilst at home, i will often wander off mid-way through her mindless drivel. It doesn't stop her, it doesn't even interrupt her flow - i can hear her in the other room still carrying on the 'conversation' as if i was still there.
A mate of mine has a similarly chatty missus to mine, he's instigated 'quiet time' in his house - twice a day he can declare 'quiet time', and she is not allowed to talk for 30 minutes. I tried it for a while, but it just didn't work for us(she found it impossible not to talk for such a lengthy period) - so, i find going into another room for a while works relatively well for me.
As for my mates - we don't chat on the phone. The phone is used to make arrangements. This is mostly because if we catch-up before meeting up, there's very little left to say to each other. However, between good mates, silence is not a problem. Eventually we'll come up with some stupid shit to discuss - lion vs bear for example, then there's always the universal male fail-safe of cars/bikes, sport and the depraved sexual activity that would be forced upon the barmaid with the big tits. ____________________ Space Monkey #7

Picture this, my boyfriends cousin is going with someone I dont like (ballbag face is her name) anyway she calls him soon as he wakes up and goes to bed. She has 4 kids ranging from 1 to 10 and here is the clencher, He speaks nearly NO English and she is from Belfast. That accent down a phone to a foreigner all day every day and even random times in the am hours. She is a nut. Change your phone number or something or dont answer. Could be worse could have her as a girlfriend, she only calls to make sure he dosnt go out anywhere so no girls will get him ____________________ All the breast.

Oooh not me, I avoid phone calls at every opportunity. In fact I think I was one of the last people I know to even get a mobile phone. I only did due to peer pressure after my big RTA.
But I rarely answer it, I will happily sit there and watch it ringing away (on silent profile flashing and vibrating) while I muster up any sort of desire to answer it...usually I don't.
My mates know not to bother to phone, it's best to catch me on messenger or send me an email, or arrange to visit and do the chat thing face-to-face. I use the phone for very factual calls and/or texts. Quite often I get accused of being 'off' or 'cold' in phone calls/texts, because I am so blunt and to the point.
I am straight with people about it, I just tell them I won't call unless it's an emergency because I'm not a phone person. If they don't like it, then that's their problem. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |
