I know we've had dedicated airsoft threads but don't think there's one for paintball and if there is, i apologise, i can't be arsed to search, i'm high.

I'm into speedball and I'm gonna be playing my first tourney next weekend up in London as I found out today after training with a team who are a couple of players short, I use an '09 Eclipse E-Tek, Halo hopper, Eclipse distortion jersey and Dye i4's.

I just ordered a bt4 combat today.

I have been paitnballing twice.

Not sure what speedball is but sounds fast and fun.

Quacker what forum is the ebst for paintballing in the UK? Also I am looking for an upgrade in barrel. Any ideas? I have seen some on the web but no idea how good they are

Meh, guess I am the only guy who plays speedball then! Got back from first Tourney up in Bricket Woods today, played for Kinetic Pulse in Div 3, team played 9 games and i played in 7, we won all our games apart from our first and last game against London Topcats which should be in Div 2 really and my gun cocked up in the game and i got mugged Rolling Eyes

i used to marshall paintball as my first job. I liked watching people get into friendly fire situations, flank eachother, leg it at them yelling, shooting, to find themselves on the same team all dead. Idiots.

It got pretty old pretty fast though, as its pretty sad and nerdy, so i became a snowboarding instructor and got loads of fanny Wink

I did paintballing once...pre-accident, and was quite sneaky and got myself into a little pit with a very good view of the 'other' side coming towards us...and me not being a very good shot, just shouted out the hiding places of the opposite team, for my lot to shoot.

Thus making me both very popular and unpopular at the same time.

Unfortunately, I unwittingly made myself a target, and when they got to me, I managed to scrabble away into a small bush and beg forgiveness, but got hit at close range in the bottom.

Ouch!

So my best advice is, don't get hit at close range. Idea

I went paintballing once over at that site in upminster.

I have to say i enjoyed the woodland/ scenario areas much better than the speedball inflated things.

There was a vietnam villiage as one of our scrims, i hid in a really good spot between trees which just enough of a gap for my gun to go through and it had a good line on the enemy. Whenever they shot back their paintballs smashed over the branches before they got to me.

The other good one was the Two burned out double decker buses and the VIP game.

I camped on the top deck and sniped a few of the kids that were there Evil or Very Mad

then as the enemy flanked around the back of our bus i hid in the stairwell, and they were firing through the back window, i popped out and head/neck shotted about 3 of them at close range, was excellent Razz

Our conclusion of the day was that paintball was good fun but the paintballs brought from the site are too expensive and in the end we had to conserve ammo.

Our master plan for next time is buy 2000 paintballs of ebay for 20/30 quid and smuggle them in, either by leaving the paintballs in the car and "going to the toilet" (at which point filling the hopper and all the ammo tubes up)...

I reckon its doable...

I went once, loved it ... but as i advanced to a forward firing position, behind a very large crate, in the middle of the ball park ... the heavy crate on meeting my beerbelly, wobbled and then fell to the floor, it must of been 6 by 6 foot and weighed 30 kg est ...

I was there, a big target in the middle of the ball park .. waiting for what i thought would be the equivalent of being hit by one of those unfair machine paint gun things ...

No one shot at me, for a few seconds before i retreated behind something a bit more substanial, all i could hear was both teams pissing themselves laughing ....

I had a giggle to .... being in the TA i knew i had what it takes when the real shit hits the fan, and i had my TA gear on, so no one wanted to remind me of the episode.
