Hi,

First post as i'm a newbie.

Recently bought a piaggio x9 125cc. It has some problems but i took it on too use as a project.

The main problem is the acceleration is bad. When the bike is cold it wont rev past 3000 before it cuts out. Once the bike is warm after 5 mins or so it will rev past 3000. But it stuters a little.

I have had the carb cleaned but still have the problem. Any ideas?

It was jumping alot when it was below 10mph. I found a 7cm air bubble in the fuel pipe. This has now stopped the jumping.

What are your recommendations? Change automatic choke? Clean clearing? If i put this into a shop what am i looking to pay? every time i go to work on it, it rains. Thats why im looking to put it into a shop.

I thought it was the carb as the fuel emptys quick and it back fires when i let go of the throttle. But the guy said he cleaned it. Do i believe him?

Hope you guys can help or give me some good advice.

Thanks

Jon

So i screwed the flow screw to the bottom and turned 1 and a bit turns back. It mad the bike sound a little better and it cuts out less.

Had to adjust the idle screw with this, but notice when the bike turns on, it idles at 3200 and settles down to 2000 after 30 seconds.

When twisting the throttle back a full turn, it rarely cuts out but will takes about a second to kick in(to move the bike).

Still getting the splutter and pop from the exhaust. Any recommendations what to do? I need some expertise!!!
