Been a while now, but back in November my pride and joy was written off by some muppet cutting me up on the m/way. Anyway long story short I was fully comp so got a payout for my bike & it was taken away.

Anyway zip forward to Sunday & I get a call from a guy saying he's bought my old bike from a breakers via eBay. Seems an ok guy, and got it for £900 (I got over 2k from the insurance so I’m happy). Had a good chat with him, and told him what happened and what sort of service history it had. I think he's got a bargain because I’d just paid out almost £500 for recent service (<30miles before the spill Evil or Very Mad) + it had a set of tyres with less than 1k wear on them!

He's asked if I still had any documentation as he didn’t get any with the bike, but before I go sending stuff of I wanted to check opinions on what I should/shouldn’t send. As I say he seems a decent bloke and its great to hear the bikes got a shot at life again... I’m on my Busa now so that’s helping overcome my jealousy lol.

I have the following:

-Servicebook
-Owners Handbook
-Datatool Alarm Certificate & Manual
-4 x recent invoices (no card details on them, just work done bie details and my address)
-6 x MOT certificates

(logbook etc went to my insurance company)

Update: just found the eBay add Smile

Opinions?

Tell him you have it all and he can come and collect at your convenience if he likes.

Send it to him. There is nothing there of any value to you and it would be nice for it to stay with the bike.

He's already offered to cover any postage so thats cool, but tbh i doubt it'll cost more than a few quid to send so canny really be arsed with paypal hassle etc.

lol like you said he knows where i live, so thats an option..

As someone else said theres nothing of value to you.

Check his feedback
If he's a grave robber, buying smashed biked regularly and making profit from fixing and reselling then these docs will add value, hence money for your bit in the process should be forthcoming.
If it looks like he's a real bikey type who is just sorting himself some bargain wheels then send them free or the cost of postage

That's what I'd do as well.
