Anyone playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2?

Obviously only the Beta at present, the full game's out in a couple of weeks.

I was unsure at first, but if you like CoD it's definitely worth a look. The graphics and effects are better and the one map available on the beta is much bigger than any of the CoD MW2 maps. Makes it a bit of a sniper-fest on occasion, but I love the way you can knock entire buildings down and drive a wide range of vehicles.

Yes, I love it. The gameplay can be absolutely hectic at times and the huge number of tactical options to choose from keeps you thinking.

Got my new quadcore in and it's running excellent now.

Are you talking about the 360 version? I think I made a post about it. I like it but was a bit lost in the huuuge map and found it a bit slow and annoying at the fact that sniper shots wouldn't kill quickly


If you don't know what I mean on the slowness then play it and straight after play MW2, you'll be all over the place

You reckon it'll be as good as COD5? Never played it but seemed to get near perfect reviews everywhere. I do prefer the BF games over many others just for the fact you can use all the vehicles & the maps are massive.

very impressed, like it a lot well, once we'd figured out what tweaks were needed to allow you to actually hit stuff

Also there is a new hardcore mode:

* No Killcam
* Friendly Fire ON
* No Aiming Reticule - Ironsights Only (and Scopes and Red Dot of course)
* Higher Bullet Damage
* No Minimap
* No HUD whatsoever
* No Spotting On-screen Indicators
* Sensorballs just start to piep, when somebody moves in it's area of effect (and only a limited number active per team)

Loving it, same A-teamy style of script from the team your with and a good bit of rolling banter going on.

Of course there are well placed barrels that blow up conveniently
