Soft, comfy quilts wrapped around you as golden light slowly filters into the room, at the break of dawn.
The birds sing, quietly enough to notice, not loud enough to annoy. In the distance, you hear a clutch being teased, and faint roar of an IL4 being taken for a walk by it's eager owner. Relaxed, refreshed, and content, you roll over and snuffle your head on the pillows, with a smile on your face.
The scent of freshly cooked smoked back bacon, sizzling lincolnshire sausages, and freerange, delicious eggs prances into the room under the door, wisping its way into your aura, lifting your concious to the next state of awareness. The warm smell of toast joins it in a subtle tango, designed specifically to please you.
A pleasant, almost orgasmic stretch out, you don clothes that are the epitome of contentment and comfyness. With nothing urgent needing your attention, you saunter down into the warm house, to satisfy that special place inside you that only a cooked breakfast can.
Yes, this threads a little different, and will veer wildly off course in about two posts. But can anyone type legibly for long enough to show what their idea of soul soothing is? Can be absolutely anything. The one above is quite generic - I've a few more distinct ones in my library.
But when money is tight, not much seems to be going right, you're down and cant change your frown - sometimes, the only thing to rely on is your own imagination. So I like to please myself with little scenarios. And sometimes, it actually works - I can come out of the process happier than before, and perhaps that small spark of drive, ambition, whatever you want to call it, that pushes me through the days.
Instant BCF response already accounted for. 'Gaaaayyyyyyy!' ____________________ "Oh....it looks like Average Joe's is forfeiting the match!" - "Yeah, its a risky strategy but lets see if it pays off for 'em Cotton." |

Sitting on a padded stool, looking out through the vision-slot of a concealed bunker on higher ground while it's pissing down with rain outside, a hot cup of coffee in one hand, a scoped rifle supported on its bipod in the other, waiting for targets a good 500m down the hill.
And when they walk into view, headed away, thinking "Maybe next time, you lucky buggers, coz I is chilled, innit." ____________________ "There's the horizon! Ride hard, ride fast and cut down all who stand in your way!" |

I will include music and pictures as my vocabulary cant sufficiently convey enough.
Sitting on your second floor balcony overlooking the Red Sea and Tiran island, all around you is silent except for the calls of the birds, your misses is asleep behind you through the partition doors. Cool beverage by your side. As the sun wakes up from its slumber the twilight gives way to streaks of flame through the sky, dawn is breaking. Before the first direct rays of sun beam down on your relaxed body the temperature is already in the 20's. You relax, close your eyes and think of absolutely nothing but the warmth and sea breeze on you. When you open your eyes the sun is rising behind the Island in the distance, good music playing, no worries, Perfect!

Waking up on a bright sunny morning, birds tweeting, sun cascading through the windows, just then you stretch, and it's a good stretch, it carries away the sleep, but it was a good sleep, you slept like a log, hardly moved, didn't get up for a piss, no noise to awaken you during the night, complete blissful sleep...
Then you turn over, pull the covers back and there's a naked, petite brunette lying next to you with not a stitch of clothing on, half asleep half awake, she asks you to make a drink, you've got to get up anyway as you need to have that piss that didn't come during slumber, so you get up and make a drink and visit the loo, as you come back and enter the room, said petite, naked brunette has rolled on her back, she's pushed the quilt down with her feet, her whole naked body is on show and her one leg's bent so you can see her toot, you put the drinks down by the sides of the bed and right then and there, as you're just about to kneel back on the bed to reach over and caress said nakedness right at that very sensual serene moment, she farts and puts you right off... ____________________ Previous Bikes...Honda NSR 125 RR...Kawasaki Zephyr 550...Suzuki SV 1000 S...Yamaha FZ8...Current Bike...Suzuki GSX-R 750... |

You've walked uphill for two hours and eventually upon reaching the top of a mountain the air is clear and fresh, you fill your lungs. Breathing deeply and more slowly. There's no one else up there and the view is all yours, the land beneath stretches away to infinity and you are above it all.
Eventually sitting down, feeling a slight burning in your thighs and lower back as the muscles stretch to accommodate for this new position. Feeling the blood rushing to your feet, first your toes tingle, and then the whole sole of your foot grows gradually warmer.
It's beautiful, it's all down hill from here and there's a cracking pub at the bottom where you're going to stuff your face with a thoroughly deserved pie and pint ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

End of a long and shitty day, one of those days where nothing has gone resoundingly wrong but there's been a plethora of small stuff. One of those days where other than one or two voices and a few words on some screens the only things you've really heard are people either nagging about something they need done and can't be bothered to do themselves or complaining about the quality of the work already done by some other muppet to such a poor standard that you've got to re-do it yourself.
Leave the site and the traffic is horrific, the bike is growling and clunking as you keep clutching in to avoid going into the back of a cheap Chinese knock off 125. This tiny bike is ridden - if you can call it that - without L plates and by someone big enough to make Cordura look like fitted PVC. He seems incapable of passing through a gap near four feet wide and your temp gauge is steadily crawling upwards, the fan kicking in before you finally get annoyed enough to get off the bike at a set of lights and tap him on what you suspect is the shoulder as it's the top shelf under the helmet to politely ask him to get out of the way. Finally you win clear of the traffic and pull into a garage, a quick check and a sigh of relief as it's a pay at pump. No need to climb off or faff about removing the crash helmet for some jumped up jobsworth on a power trip, something right at last.
The card goes into the waiting slot and authorises, the nectar dispenses into the thirsty tank. You've got a fair ride home and suddenly notice it's actually a nice night, sun sitting low in the sky and fairly clear skies. It's even warm enough that you hadn't noticed that you'd forgotten to put a scarf around your neck. Suddenly astounded you realise that as you feel the cold petrol filling the overheated fuel tank the tension drains away just as rapidly, leaving a far clearer head.
The day is ended. Anyone you see now will be someone you choose to, anywhere you go will be somewhere you decide. It's your time now and no one else has a claim. ____________________ I'm immortal. Well, so far. |
