Road pricing has kinda fell off the map, I haven't seen any news on it for a while but I see the ANPR cameras still going up everywhere. Is it still on the cards? Shelved? Swept under the carpet until after the election or what?

Work on road pricing is still happening quietly in the background with the Department for Transport and millions are been spent on it.

Read a story on this in The Sun today funnily enough.

It's still being done on the quiet by Labour. The Tories say they would scrap it.

Could be up and running by 2014.

Then they just seize your vehicles,anything less than mass rejection will just be a expensive pain in the ass no doubt equaling a ban.

I'd definitely be considering the same, especially because my vehicles (admittedly only bikes atm, but eventually when i get a car it'll be similar) are old/older models, which use simple mechanics to work and so can't have a properly "integrated" system.

I'm concerned the push for ANPR may be used to do this though, as it won't rely on people's very old vehicles etc. Having a cloned plate may well become a much much bigger pain in the ass. And more rife.

Good i like that but as an army of motorists following that idea we may as well call our selves Palestine because we"re defenseless and fucked,technology will win the day there will be a big market in things to over come such an issue.
