Hi all. daft one but here it goes anyway.

I have a TZR that is near completion but can seem to get the indicators to work. But was told that i can completley remove them from the bike and it will pass an MOT,

Is this right or will i need to make them work as it was manufacturered this way?

Any help I would be grateful.

Stuart

Hi

It is way too new to just leave the indicators off. The only way you could do that is with no lights at all and the "daytime MOT" fiddle.

All the best

Yes, you need indicators for the MOT.

What's up with them?

For anything registered since 1st August 1986 (except off road bikes, or those who are using the daytime MOT fiddle) they are required.

All the best

mate i have litterally today bout 2 hrs ago just got bak from m.o.t ing my tzr 125 1988 model and the answer is yes. i spent 1/2 fitting new ones outside the m.o.t centre tht i bought them from 14 squid for 2! so 28 in total can gt them 4 a lot cheaper but i needed to get them pronto. best garage ive ever been to he let me use his tools and stripped some wire off a old loom he had 4 me. so if u live in northamptonshire go nene valley.

and just to add if the prev owner is a twat like the 1 was for my bike dont be shocked to find the wires cut off right at the loom.!!!!
