battery voltage

Hi

I have an FZ6 that has been garaged since November. unfortunately I didnt get round to putting an optimate on the battery and so understandably it was flat when I checked it the other day.

I trickle charged it all day yesterday and it never peaked above 11 volts, even after 18hrs of charge.

Can I assume then that because it wont reach 12v the battery is knackered?
