 |
|
I’ve got the Halfords set and have had it for several years, unforuntaley a couple of ratchets have disappeared in that time. For £40 it’s pretty good value I’d say.
Haven’t seen any better ratchet spanners. Due to the size of the ratchet mechanism, they won’t quite fit into all the tight spots you might want, but other ratchet spanners are bigger.

The Aldi set is missing the 12mm, 15mm and 19mm from the Halfords set. However, it does look like the spanners may actually be exactly the same – I’ve seen the same ones badged from other companies too so it’s quite likely.
If they are, it’s pretty amazing value for £13 despite the useful 12mm being missed.

Typical Hellfrauds overpricing. The Aldi set look good, however 12mm is a fairly key size ____________________ Current bike - 2006 ZX6R |

flexible heads are wank.
the only time ive ever thought ''this could do with a flexible head ratchet spanner'' is once... at work... on a battleship. to counterhold a nut.
if you ''need'' one on a bike, you're using the wrong tool, or not doing it properly. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. I have the Halfords ones. I think the flexable heads are pretty good. I wouldn't be without them in my work. They're probably the first thing I'd buy for my toolkit. The Aldi deal looks pretty good ____________________ Past >>>> Honda NSR 125 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K1 >>>> Suzuki GSXR 600 K4 >>>>Kawasaki Z1000 DAF >>>>Suzuki RMZ 250 >>>> Current >>>> KTM Superduke R 1290 >>>> |
