I wonder what would be the fees for selling the bike on ebay for £1200.

Is it 10% or are the fees for the vehicles different?

Its £8 to list and about 5% or something like that.

Cost me £33 to sell something that was £550

Still haven't paid them yet Shocked

Better off using the classified ad if you want to sell a vehicle on ebay - bit dearer to list but no final value fees Thumbs Up

yes classified ad is £12.99 for 28 days , its how i sold my 125 2 weeks ago.. only bit i dislikes about it was the fact it puts your contact no in full view of anyone who opens that page..
sold it within 48 hrs tho so gets a Thumbs Up from me

Has it always been so expensive to use a reserve price? Put my Kona shred on there today and they wanted £8 for the privilege Shocked Could have sworn it never used to be that much.

Everyone HATES reserve prices, I would avoid your bike if at all possible if it had a reserve price...

Why cant you just start the auction at the lowest price you are willing to accept?

Classifieds adds are way better value and they have gone up to £15 but it is still alot cheaper than listing it. It depends how desperate you are to sell.

Thats what I always do (and have this time), I just thought starting it low might entice more bids, despite the reserve Smile

Nope - i agree with the above. I dont tend to watch things with reserves unless i am really interested and even then they definately put me off.

I have found that things that start low and have no reserve will usually often go for more than something with a reserve or even as suggested, something started at the lowest you would accept. Gets people interested and once they are hooked they will often bid more than they intended to just to beat the competition!
