hi if anyone can help me out here i be really greatfull.
just bought a speedfight2 100 04 plate,i was running low on fuel and bike died on me(no fuel)pushed to garage toped up and now wont start,petrol gauge goes up like it should horn indicators work ok but wont start now,i have noticed that when i try to start up the petrol gauge starts dropping,have i got a dead battery or worse please help im useless at mechanics:(

make sure fuel is turned on....killswitch., Otherwise, you could have sucked some s@?! from bottom of tank and blocked a jet in the carb.
Check oil....spark plug??
It was definatly petrol you put in?
If the engine is turning over your battery isnt dead, wont harm to charge it though. If it turns over does it sound the same as before, i.e. turning over as fast?

Because it uses a vacuum tap, the engine needs to be turning over for fuel to get to the carb so you have to hold the starter button for quite a bit of time before it will fire up.

If you don't want to run your battery down to do this, use the kickstart and kick it over until it starts. It should run then.

thanks for info peeps,right ive changed spark plug the old 1 was black like oil on it and was a br9es ive put the right 1 in br8es by haynes manual but still wont start i get a click sound like it wants to start but wont just keeps draining my battery.was fine before run out of fuel is driving me up the wall(forgot to mention i did get it started and it blew crap from exhaust i rode it for about 5 minutes left ticking over then died?)now cant start at all ive also noticed that the throttle cable has come free form that pin from near spark plug similar to picture.cant afford for some guy to look at it ive got a haynes manual would like to try repair myself or if someone reading this can fix for me im based in se3 kidbrooke?
