Anyone had one made before?

My 1976 KE175 has a knackered exhaust. I want to make the bike up to A1 standard, and to do that I'll need a new exhaust made.

It's a weird shape. The old one is still there, just rotton, so I can always drop it off and just say "copy that".

Anyone recommend anyone who can do it?

Exhaust looks like this:

I'd try Gibson to be honest.

Be warned, they may be expensive.

The beauty of the KE175 is that there seems to be no expansion chamber, or any sort of 2 stroke beauty to it.

So as far as I can see, any numpty with some sheet steel and a bit of talent should be able to replicate it. Other than the downpipe, which'll need making.

I'll look into Gibson though, but I can bet it'll be a good few hundred quid.

I mean, it's not a sexy one like on a proper non-crap 2 stroke. So it doesn't need hydro-forming or however they make the sexy bulges.

This is all straight lines and plates.

Hi

Suspect a flat one like that is probably harder to make as a one off. In regular production they can be made from a couple of stampings welded together rather than some fairly intricate work.

All the best
