I visited a mate of mine yesterday to look at an old gsxr1100 slabbie that he's got for sale, while I was there he asked me if I could give him some idea of what to sell his other oddball collection for and tbh I ain't gotta clue so I thought I'd ask the knowledgeable people of BCF to help me out.

He's got an old honda xl250 (no idea what year), an old ty50 kids bike (again no idea what year) a suzuki dr650 tempter (it's on a foreign plate atm), an ugly jawa 350 which is A reg, a jawa 50cc peddle and pop on a J plate which has only 30 miles from new, a kawasaki gt550 and an 80's xr80. Other than them and the slabbie a pair of gsx600's one on a T plate the other on a P plate.

Most of them have been sat in his garage for a while and he's looking to clear them all out and get himself a nice bike he can use, I've took a few piccies on my phone but there not the best, Any idea on what any of them are worth or how to figure out the age of the ones we don't know would be a great help.

Shame I've no room in the garage, I'd have the two Jawas Smile

Might be able to squeeze the peddle and pop in...

Difficult to tell what they're worth just from the pics. They're dusty but some may well be low mileage with lots of life left in them. The 350 Jawa caught my eye - I love those old tanks Razz Not worth much in monetary terms, but it's priceless scaring the Sunday riders, specially when you have a chair attached Laughing

I can tell you exactly how much the trike is worth, £0.00,

if memory serves me correctly it was made illegal to sell them when they were banned for being dangerous as they dont have a differential on them

it's ok to own one if you already had it when they were banned but if you want to get rid of one they are supposed to be scrapped only

none of them are particuly odd ball bikes,
all the jap bikes were all pretty popular in their day, same as the jawa 350, never seen the pedal and go jawa before,

Ok I suppose they're not really odd but you don't see them around much now, I've found the 650 tempter was a U.S only model sold in 83 and 84 only.

I thought the law regarding off road trikes was that it was illegal to advertise them for sale, other than that it's a pretty unenforceable law.

I know there aren't any collectors items there and don't expect any to be worth a lot was really after just a bit of a guide price to advertise them properly before trying ebay, guess it's a case of there only worth what somebodys willing to pay for them.
