Ok only had my learner bike a week ( CBR125R ) and I'm already looking at what possably will be my next steed this time next year will be and am quite liking the "naked" look and so have narrowed it down to 2 bikes the Honda CB600 Hornet or the Yammy XJ6 .
has anyone had any experance with either??

The XJ600 is a commuter even though it is an IL4, but if you keep the revs low it gives good MPG and it is dependable reliable etc, dont use the centre stand though it affects the carb in a way I forget.

The Hornet is just a CBR600 with no clothes and slighlty more basic suspension, altered gearing and it is uber thirtsy, there is no comparisom between the two.

It will be used for getting to work ( short 2 mile blip up a bypass ) and weekend fun .
From what I read ( MCN etc ) the Honda has more midrange and both are super easy to ride ( hence 1st big bike ).
Any one else wanna throw in a new bike for £6k or under in the same style Question

Yep , just been looking at that , is about £6700 ( with finance at 5%apr ) compaired to 0% on the XJ6 @ £5200 is roughly £25 a month more. Is it worth the extra ( from what I read YES)

The Street triple is £6700 Shocked

Fuck me twice sideways. The Last lot of Speed Four's left the Showrooms for £4000 fully loaded!

Rememeber though the Extras will cost too You could quite easily add a fair bti of money to that price tag to get the bits you want on it.

Just looked at the Triumph Website £6.7k is the price for a Street Triple R thats not so bad.

https://www.triumph.co.uk/uk/Create_My_Triumph.aspx

That should give an idea, on the total cost with extras, you should be able to haggle.

I'd say don't start tormenting yourself on whats still a year away.
By the time you get there you will probably change what you're after anyway.
I know it's nice to dream but your liable to make yourself crazy in the mean time Smile

Oh and don't spend a cent on your current bike.
Save it up and put it towards your next bike. You will be glad you did.

Can I ask why the difference between your current bike and what you're looking to get down the track ?

I imagine the bike comes with a clock on the digital dash, so no need for the clock.
