My 50cc peugeot ludix snake recently seems to have now power.
There is a slight lag when i pull back on the throttle and it only seems to be doing 30-35mph on a straight and up to 20mph up hill. where as before it would do atleats 40-50 mph on a straight. the rollers have been checked and they are fine.
Any suggestions or advice would be soooo helpful. This is my first ped so i have no idea what could be wrong. Thanks

Did it suddenly have no power or has it got gradually lost power? If it was a sudden loss then i would say check compression with the view its a piston ring problem. If its been a gradual loss then still check compression, but look at clogged air filters, fuel filter, drain the carb, has the zorst become choked up? Two strokes are fairly basic engines to work on and fault find, just gotta think like a two stroke. Laughing
Fuel, mix with air, suck into engine, compress air and fuel, spark, bang, blow the gas out. If it doesnt do any of these well then it wont work.
Check out wikipedia for this diagram

Yeah it was a sudden loss of power, its only doing like 30mph when it used to do 45-50 mph comfortably. But i will do as you have said, thanks.

One of the Power Bands must have snapped.
I'm surprised no-one has said that yet. Thinking

Well done with the obvious joke to a serious question.

As if its not overused enough. Least the guy is able to make a complete, readable paragraph...

Readable paragraf??

My purpose here is merely to Mock.
Not Mark.

And... how do you know I wasn't serious?

If there was, at one time, enough oomf to get to 50 MPH then there is in fact a Power Band not being reached.

Razz
