Just a wee heads up, but I was in Poundland the other day and they have loads of camping stuff for sale.... and you guessed it - it is all £1 !!!!!

They have roll-mats, towel/toothbrush set, torches and camping lights, ground sheet, tent pegs, inflatable pillows, camping grille, camping tin just to name a few things.

They also have disposable BBQ !!!!!!!!!!

I bought 5 of them (only had £10 with me and bought some other stuff as well).

They are the same as the ones that ASDA are flogging for £3. What a bargain ! Wink

Here is a link:

https://www.poundland.co.uk/top-tips/camping/

There is other good stuff in other sections as well, like tools, padlocks, etc which could also come in handy when you are away.

Poundland is the bollocks. I've picked up so much great and useful stuff from there. I see they're even doing a disposable tent/emergency shelter for a quid. Mental Laughing

It's so annoying that the nearest Poundland to me is in the next town. May pop to Home Bargains and my local pound shop in the hope they are doing some camping gear too.

Poundland is good for stuff like this but some stuff is way overpriced, I mean why buy a toothbrush or 4 from poundland for a quid when they're 10p in Asda etc.. But I have a camping stool from there which has lasted 2 years now and it's good for the anti slip matting to put under panniers, inflatable pillow has survived a good while too.

I go to Home Bargains for that as you can get the thin ones for only 49p. Perfect for under a tank bag. The thicker one is 99p so I save 1p compared to Poundland Wink

Went to my local pound shop today and they had some camping stuff, including a folding cutlery set, similar to the £1.99 item at Aldi.

Also went into Home Bargains and they have this Rolson wind up torch for £1.99 (could have been 99p, I'm not sure Doh!) compared to the £4.99 Aldi item. The L.E.Ds are a little smaller though.

Went back in today and bought a first aid kit and a 3 adaptor ciggy lighter.

I also went to Aldi and got the cutlery set for £1.99.

I just picked up the folding cutlery set from Poundworld and the Rolson £1.99 dynamo torch from Home Bargains.

I also bought a steam cleaner (it was only £12) but it's a bit crap so I think I'll be taking it back.

I've picked some good stuff up from poundland like camping chairs, stoves, torchs.

They do tools aswell. It doesn't really matter about the quality because if it breaks it's only a pound.
