Well picked up a rear for my hooner 6 after the stock shok emptying its oil onto my wheel. so saw this for the same price as a new hagon so thought bargain.

question

how much to get it serviced if it needs a service?

then how does one go about setting it up trial and error?

I don't know how good they are, but search for 'ohlins service' on ebay and places offering it for £85 + £8.50 are listed.

Why not simply email the manufacture and see what they charge.... Embarassed
As to setting it up. Some places offer a service to set it up to you weight etc.

Ring up people like K-Tech, Kais, Harris, etc. etc. and see what they charge.

I paid £80 for a rear shock service with K-Tech a couple of months ago. They didn't do something correctly and it felt like shit, but eventually got it sorted out with them and now it feels sweet as Smile

I would recommend them, but if you're going to communicat with them, don't bother using the e-form on their website, or emailing them, they are shit at replying to them. Took about a week to receive a reply to each email I sent, thus why it took about a month to get it sorted.

Spoke to them on the phone and had it sorted out 4 days later.

Depending on what bike the shock is off of, you may need to adjust it to get the correct ride height, and likely change the spring to suit your weight / the bikes weight and possibly the valving to suit a different spring rate?

Should have bought the Hagon imo. Karma £85 is the price for doing the service. I don't think you'll get it cheaper.
