https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OXFORD-BOSS-ALARM-MOTORCYCLE-MOTORBIKE-DISC-LOCK_W0QQitemZ300408660765QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Motorcycle_Parts?hash=item45f1c0631d#ht_2453wt_1030

Im thinking about two of these, one on the front disc and one on the back Sprocket!

Buying a ground anchor and chaining my bike to that as well!

I was woken by the sound of 2 kids trying to nick my bike at 3am the other night! my disc lock stopped them and me shouting out my window at them lol

how far is too far to protect your bike?

too far?
possibly the shotgun mines you can buy, or wiring the frame to a live spare battery. Laughing
Have contemplated wiring "thor" (a 1 farad capacitor some physicists i know built) up as a fake can and leaving it as a trap somewhere Laughing

but remember it is you who is most likely to trigger any offensive trap.

Shotgun mines are great, scares the shit out of them at 3am, wakes the whole street and with a bit of luck the lowlife scum think they are being shot at and will never come near again.
I got one here.
When i do feel the need to lock the bike more i use an oxford boss disk lock, a cable lock and a monster of a padlock with chain that goes round swinging arm and through back wheel before being covered by one of the panniers so would be a real bastard to cut off Also has an alarm fitted and above all it is a pan european so although the parts sell well for good money it would take 6 blokes to lift the friggin thing into a van with the locks on it or 3 to push it in up a ramp

Electric shock, glass on top of all walls, spikey fencing, ground anchor, screamer alarm, datatool alarm, microchip, big dog, couple of fat chains, disk lock, cover, shed...erm I think that's everything covered. Cool

if you hear them...... dont turn on the light, or shout at them Smile ..... now you have the advantage, cos they dont know your after them!

it gives you time to tool-up and give them a suprise they will NEVER forget Smile .
or you could phone the police and let them with thier indifference deal with it about half an hour to late Sad

The only problem with the above is if they woke you up then they probably woke others up and so they would scarper. Thumbs Up

Although I keep a nice bit of wood at the bottom of the stairs just in case someone wants my bikes Wink

Don't forget though, a baseball bat is an offensive weapon, whereas a baseball bat AND BALL, is sporting equipment.
(just in case plod wants to look in your house after forensics and the undertaker have finished)

I don't have any.

No chain no nothing. My garage door doesn't even have a lock. You could jump the wall and just take it lol.

Don't do that though. Or I'll fucking kill you.
