You vs rossi

Just curious to see how you think you match up the man himself, i mean in context of skill i think ive got about 7% of his skill and think even if i was on an r1 and him a cb500 he would beat me badly.

What bikes do you think you & him would have to be on for you to stand a chance ?

Never watched him race, but as I understand it he's not too shabby, right?

The guy is very very good, but he is only a few percent at best better than your average guy in motoGP, but at that level the tiniest improvement in times is very hard to come by. In reality if you both had say a cbr600 and you you had done a load of track days, you could quite possibly be within a few second of him per lap. Going from 10 second a lap off his pace to 5 seconds a lap wouldn't take long, but going to within a second would be many times harder.

He's not even that great over 1 lap, he wins races due to being able to set a bike up, manage tires and get the best out a bike over a race distance with changing weight and grip levels.

was actually a serious question but anyways lol i doubt you'd get within 5 seconds of rossi a lap wasnt the a bike mag that did a test with a bsb rider and he was lapping faster then them riding with one hand,staying in 3 gear another time etc etc

1 sec covering the top 10. Yeah thats tight that is. In more ways than one. Tight for the riders on underdevolped bikes etc.

Getting close to the end of his career tho, these next 2 seasons are ones to watch for sure.
