About oil.., So what's in your crankcase?

Hello,
"Oil" is always an interesting factor in fuel economy and engine longevity. I am just curious
as to what oil other drivers are using. Recommendations, pros/cons dos/don'ts experiences etc...

I use baby oil, it's the only thing I've found to keep my pistons smooth and soft.

I use Olbas Oil as it stops the exhaust getting blocked up.

Enfield 350-> Nothing I hope. It should all be in the oil tank unless it's wet-sumped itself again. The oil tank should be full of the cheapest 20w-50 mineral oil in the shop. I think it's got comma stuff in there just now.

Honda H100 -> air.

VFR -> Halfords own brand 10w-40 mineral oil.

Recommendations: Don't believe the hype. There is not as much difference between oils as the manufacturers would have you believe. Use the correct grade and the correct viscosity as recommended by the manufacturer, change it at the specified intervals and don't let it run low.

I use Methanol rather than petrol as a fuel so I use a vegetable oil (Castrol R40) that will not be flushed from the bore by the alcohol.

Well for a laugh I was going to say coconut oil and say it makes my bike smell nice. But after a quick google I found out that it's been tried as an engine lubricant and it reduces fuel consumption, smoke emissions and the engine runs cooler. So then it wouldn't have been sarcy anymore.
