Hi,
Oil pump drive belt went whilst i was riding last night and the polini 70 kit heat seized and the rings have just caught the bore on the way down and scored it either side. A couple of questions here:

1. I have been told only Polini pistons fit polini kits...is this true?

2. Polini ony do one oversize piston accorss the range for all their kits air and water cooled and its a 0.4 oversize. Just wondering if this has any truth behind it and if anyone knows any more on it than me.

I am taking it to engineers this afternoon to see if the damage is 0.4 or less and then hopefully source a piston.

Thanks
Henry

i would only use a polini piston, i doubt you'd be able to find any piston with the same port cut outs and pin size and heights,

to many variations in 2 stroke pistons to be mixing and matching
