Hey guys!

Following my thread about the cb350, i went to see it this morning really liked it, went back later with my uncle so he could check it over, came back home and bid on it with 2 seconds left and i won! £360 which i believe is quite a good price.

I am well chuffed at the mo to say the least and cannot wait to pick it up and get my test done Mr. Green
Should hopefully be picking it up by next weekend Praying

Thought i'd attatch a couple of pics of my 'new bike'. these are just from the ebay ad;

Opinions???

*Runs around and jumps up and down like a child* Laughing

Not seen a CB350 for a while. Decent bike for the money, ideal first post-test ride.

Don't know why but I've always liked the look of these bikes. Shouldn't need restricting either (assuming you are on a restricted licence).

What do you mean you dont know why?! It looks awesome Laughing Although i know what you mean, i wasn't sure the first time i saw it with the red frame Thinking

Yes i will be on restricted licence, the guy i've bought it off said that he'd heard mixed things too. He just told his insurance that it may have been 1hp over when it was built and they were fine. Besides, i doubt theres much chance it'll actually be over 33hp Wink

So yeah, will hopefully be riding it to silverstone this year Mr. Green

It doesn't matter what power it made new, the only thing that matters is the current power output which is almost certain to be under 33bhp.

OK mate, fair enough. I'm actually looking for about £700 for it, and IMO it looks better with straight bars. Each to their own, cheers anyway mate, Thumbs Up.

Laughing, sorry for a thread hijack mate!

Embarassed

Must say I do like the look of yours, looks in pretty decent nick for it's age as well, and £360 isn't a great deal of money either, nice buy.

Thumbs Up

Can we keep this thread on topic please... is the top yoke modified on your CB1 to take the clamps for the high bars or do they just attach to the fork legs the same as the clip ons?

Laughing

Sorry mate,

Forgiven the both of you ok Rolling Eyes But Rob, you're still to answer the important question;

is the top yoke modified on your CB1 to take the clamps for the high bars or do they just attach to the fork legs the same as the clip ons?
Well? Eh?

Laughing

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the guy i bought the bike off is throwing in a ground anchor for it and a big ass heavy duty chain! Hopefully that should lower the cost of insurance a bit.

No, it's not and yes they do.

Good thing about bikes like the CB350 (and indeed the CB1) is that they are not attractive to thieves at all so you have less to worry about. Your 125 would have been a far bigger target. I reckon I could have left my old Bros 400 sat with the engine running overnight in a scummy estate and nobody would have nicked it.
