what bike?

Well i passed my test last week (mod 1 weds mod 2 thurs) been riding for almost 2 years now started on a derbi senda 50cc, went to honda cbr 125cc (didnt like it, too small) so i wrote it off lol, then i bought a dtr125 which im still riding at the moment. I did buy a zzr250 but i just couldn't get comfy, i think this is due to the way i had to bend my legs to get on lol (im lanky). I've ridden my mates gsxr 600, another mates sv650, and a gs500 (i think it was) and i hated the seating position. So i've decided ideally i want to stay on enduro type bikes or supermotos (ideally supermoto) mainly for the seating position and i do occasionally take bikes offroad to move cows at work so it would ideally be a dual sport. I've been looking at the ccm r30, ccm 644ds, suzuki drz 400, or a wr250x. As i've just passed my test it need to be easily restricted to 33bhp, and it will be a daily commuter so ideally it needs to be ok on fuel and fairly comfy. Any other suggestions or which of the ones i've looked at to get?

Went to D&K today they've got the drz 400sm in and a wr250x i reallllllyyyyyy like them both. Which would be the better bike for commuting and the occasional hoooon? I don't go near a petrol station going to work (15 miles there and back) so it needs to be fairly good on fuel (will be happy as long as its better than the dt - bout 90 miles to a tank) and i would like it have a bit of ooomph behind it ( ride with my mates whos on derestricted sv 650)

As I understand (though haven't ridden one), the WR's a bit buzzy on the road. So if it were me I'd go for the DRZ if you want it for commuting...

How do you mean buzzy? im used to riding 2 strokes i cant see it being as bad as my dt or is it?

It will be better than the DT, but the extra 150cc will make the DRZ the better 'daily' bike, so of the two I would choose that.

While I like the idea of the WR250R as a trail bike, as a supermoto it seems underpowered and overly heavy.

I would consider a Husky SM610; similar weight to the DRZ, but more suspension and more power. Go for the TE version and get SM wheels if you want to easily swap to dirt. TE version is unfortunately quite hard to find in recent models however.
