Nsr Choke Problems

Hi, in the morning i start up my nsr then put the choke on full it rises the revs to about 4-5k for about 1-2 minutes then it dies, dies,dies and then turns off i heard that once it drops down to idle speed turn off the choke well when i do that it dies even faster, whats the problem here guys?? thanks

any one, sorry for being impatient but my bike is ready for the problem to be fixed/ investigated and i only have 2 hours before work lol, and one more thing i just recently fixed a problem (sticky carb) maybe that has affected it?

Probably far too late with a suggestion but, it could well be dirt in the jets. My NSR had exactly the same problem, cured it by putting Redex in the petrol tank and reving the t1ts off it. A huge black cloud came out of the exhaust can and it ran fine after that. It's still going in fact.

Pop down to Halfords and get some Redex.

thanks for reply, is it safe, revving tis tits off doesnt sound to nice on the bike lol but if you think it will work then i will give it a shot

Don't know. Redex and rev it to hell and back. Sounded awful but it worked for me. Made a funny noise followed by plumes of black smoke and then it was fine. Prob better than new.

I had to ride mine with the revs constantly on using only the rear brake until I did this. Had to keep the revs high all the time and it was still struggling.

Just for future reference (found this by google so others might).
NSR's are tuned 2 strokes and coke up inside, this can build up (quicker if using low rev's all the time) so once its warm, ride it like you stole it and give it a thrashing occasionally. Keep her cleaned out
