Hi, a mate of mine is considering getting a race can on his R6, whats the penalty if he is caught with it on a public road ?
or is it highly unlikey any one will be botherd about it ?

I've been pulled a fair few times with various cans on and have have had anything done about it.

I have probably ridden 30-40,000 ish miles on bikes with lairy cans and been ok.

Only a section 59 the first time, then if your caught doing anything a copper could misconstrude as antisocial again, they take your bike.

Ride like a knob and expect it to be used as ammo against you though. I never had any issues on the SP1 which was loud enough to set of bike alarms, the trick is to be sensible and considerate
