hi guys
lookin for some help with a yzf 750

so heres the problem

Hooked up my ignition today so thought id try to get the bike started, a couple of months ago i fired it up breifly with some easy start.
Installed my carbs and hooked up fuel tank to the electrics,
when i turn on the ignition can hear pump turning, so far so good.

I hooked up the large nozzle from the fuel pump to the centre (brown nozzle) on the carbs.
So my first question is what do i hook up the smaller nozzle on the fuel pump to?

put the switch to on for the fuel and turned it over for a while to fill the float bowls.
When i tried to fire it it just turns over but does not fire, so sprayed some easy start in carbs and tried again, it started for a second then died, then some fuel came out of the breather hose on the tank.

I took off the tank and removed the hose from the large nozzle and fuel poured out of the hose, so fuel is going into the hose but dont know if its going through to the float bowls.
I took the hose off the carbs and blew some air in with the compressor and could hear air going into the bowls so dont think its a blockage.

Put the tank back on and tried again and just got a large backfire and some smoke coming out of the carbs.
Does this sound like a fuel problem or have i got the firing order wrong.
I dont think its the firing order as it started breifly with easy start.
Is there a vacume on the carbs which sucks fuel in from the hose, as i have only the large nozzle from the fuel pump attached to the centre nozzle on the carbs i was thinking this could be the issue, but i cant work out where the small nozzle should attach.

Also are the white nozzles either side of the centre nozzle on the carbs breathers or should they attach somwhere.

Hope this makes sense and hope someone can shed some light.
thanks for taking time to read and for any answers you may offer.
cheers guys
Nick.

stick some pics up, make it easier to figure out.

The pump should have a hose from the tank, then a hose into the carbs. If you have the in and out mixed it would pump air into the tank (perhaps why you have fuel coming out of the overflow?)

Also a vacuum line should run from the carbs to the fuel tap (assuming the bike has a vacuum tap like my FZR1000 did.)
