A moan
This always gets me.
On the tunnel, they always (usualy) get you to park the bike pointing to the left side of the train, in gear stand down, obviously.
Meaning if the train has to stop a bit sharpish the bikes will domino into a big heap of expensive damage which i imagine eurotunnel will want to know nothing about
Who do they not show a bit of sense and park them to the right where it is a lot harder to get a bike to fall over
While i'm here, why do brittany ferries twattish staff still insist on strapping your bike to the floor over the friggin expensive seat?
Has a fall out with froggy git few weeks ago about it, usually go via norfolk line or LD and they are fine about me strapping my own bike using my own straps but not brittany who insist on a lottery of unclaimable seat damage ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? Think about it when a train brakes you get slight initial forward momentum then slam backwards. I have seen a row of bikes wobble then slam back on to their stands again.
I freak them out by sticking mine on it's centre stand. Safer really as the R1100GS has a notoriously weak side stand anyhow.
Brittany Ferries - not a problem if you take your own padding. We usually use those cheapo picnic rugs as "tent carpets" , you leave it packed in an easy to access place and put on your seat as padding - jobs a good 'un
Still reckon those ropes are feckin' useless anyhow, but better to limit their allegedly "non claimable" damage. |
