To settle an argument, what year did the little RXS100 adopt a 12 volt system, and how easy is it to upgrade a 6 volt bike to 12 volt?

All the UK import RXS100s are 6 volt. Upgrading to 12v is extremely difficult on the RXS (I've looked into the possibility and it really is more trouble than it's worth). On some bikes it's pretty straightforward.

They made various RX100, RX135, RXS115 and RXZ models with 12 volt electrics for overseas markets, but I've never seen one of these in Britain.
