I recently took some frame work off of my bike that held some crappy plastic panniers. One of the nuts that had to come off to do so has to be replaced after the frame has come off to hold the rear shocks on but the threading has been crushed on the bolt so the nut will not go back into the thread. The bolt is welded to the frame, and as i am no welder, nor have the funds to have it replaced i was wondering if anyone could suggest a way of fixing the thread.
Thanks
Jack

Get yourself a cheap tap and die set. Run a die down the bolt (chasing the thread) and it will repair the thread - if it isnt TOO damaged the repair should be pretty good Thumbs Up .
