I had my bike standing in the wet for about half hour and not heavy rain, then on the way back i was travelling at about 30mph was in 3rd gear and was experiencing sheer loss of revs and power in this gear so i dropped the gears and ragged it then went through the gears fine although it still seemed to chug abit when going through thrid gear.

My question is what could this be down to as it was still doing it. I also noticed switching the fuel tap to reserve sorted the problem out and the power returned. This was strange as the tank has half a tank of petrol in it so its not that. What dya reckon this could be as its strange and im worried im gonna break down in the middle of nowhere sometime.

Does the EN125 suffer any known problems like this?

Sounds like water may have got in somewhere, possibly the fuel tank.

Any bike can suffer this kind of problem. The EN is very similar to the GS125, and similarly reliable. I'd have a good go round the ignition components with WD40 to be on the safe side, and maybe drain out a small amount of fuel to see if there's any water contamination. Chances are whatever caused the problem won't reappear, though.
