Really sorry to hear that mate. Scum. Evil or Very Mad

Is that the limited silver paint scheme or a custom job. Either way there aren't too many silver CBR's around. I'm in the Brum area but will keep an eye out.

Chills, are you a member of MAG? If so, let their head office know and the details will be sent to every MAG rep in the country (0870 4448 448).

Also, it might be worth registering on other motorbike chat forums and letting them know. A lot of forums will "Sticky" this information.

Sorry to hear about the loss. Been there, done that and it wasn't nice.

Poor thing, I've had a bike nicked before and it feels so crap.

*fingers crossed* that it turns up safe and sound and the evil scum that took it get their hands cut off in punishment.... if only!

WOW that's some dumb as fuck criminals.. nick a very very trick and special one of a kind CBR600/900 that they'll never manage to sell, nor break Rolling Eyes unless they respray it and ship it abroad or something.

Your bike is very nice and special, I hope you get it back!

There can't be too many 600/900's about so if anyone spots an advertisment with that in, then hopefully it'll be your bike Thumbs Up

Good luck in recovering it mate!

Sorry to hear about your loss! Interesting though - it does not sound like an opportunistic theft, more like someone knew it was there and the moutain bike.

Have you had any work done on the house recently or anyone been in your garage? Have you or your neighbours noticed any people either sitting in cars or loitering around the place?

You know the police won't do much other than give you a crime number, offer you couselling and add it to their statistics, so why not do a little detective work.

I really cant stress enough how much I think you should all put mobile phones on your motorbikes.

The service for tracking a mobile phone is dirt cheap, and I know a lot of people say the thieves will find it and remove it, but Im sure you can hide one suitably so that you can get your bike back before its broken up.

As soon as I pass my test Ill be putting my old mobile in a plastic bag inside the fuel tank or something.

That don't sound like a good idea - don't mobile phones spark? Why do you think you can't use them at a petrol station? Other than that, the mobile phone idea is a damn good one!

Unfortunately it will almost certainly be stripped for parts, there`s more value in the bits than in the whole bike, especially if its non standard Mad

Sympathies to you, tho, its an absolute bastard having a bike nicked.

I might be worth watching for the bodywork on ebay and similar sites on the off chance. Hope it comes back to you in one piece.

Now that could be interesting. Someone thiefs your bike, you ring the phone then listen for the loud bang to work out where the bits of your bike and robber are. Laughing

lol @ phone in fuel tank Laughing

Bad luck Chills, not many blade engines for sale, so keep your eyes peeled on ebay and the like, more likely someone already wants it and the numbers been filed off.

It's a Subaru Impreza 2.0 Sport, with 77k on the clock and recent service history (inc cambelt at 56k), 10months MOT and 12months Tax, no modification except for twin outlet tailpipe and bonnet scoop (WRX style, not obscene and no i'm not responsible for it). Good condition cept badly touched up scuffs on bumper corners and a shallow dent here n there, its 96 N reg.

Cheers, I'm not currently a member but it may be a good time to join? And will find and try the CBR forums too. Ta.

Yeah, my wife & rugrats are away for a few weeks and I guess people see me coming and going to work, so know very well when the house is empty. The police told me that they may well be back for the rest of the stuff too, so I should keep a listen out for someone downstairs while I sleep! Shocked

Yup, that's the one! Sad
https://www.ac-hills.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cbr_6_9.htm

Like you guys said... its an unusual bike and I'd be surprised if someone tried selling it as a complete bike, so will keep me eyes peeled on ebay, etc... for the w*nkers.
Thanks again for the help and sympathy guys (& gals).

Cheers, Chris.
