 |
|
Got back last night from camping in scotland and came up with a great idea for converting one of those foldable seats into a toilet seat. (laying in front of the camp fire looking at the starts and smoking weed is a great combination for *thinking up useful ideas)
So got home to find someone has already thought of it I thought i was gonna be rich
Anyway, this is brilliant so thought i'd post it up here.

It's always been a part of camping out that i hated because it seems to take a lot more effort squeezing one out when i'm not sitting. Or is that just me?
Seems a bit pricey though

Having done the deed at the summit of mount kenya at minus stupid temperatures just with a simple squat, im pretty sure that it's a pointless product, if you need to go, you'll go ____________________ 2008 VFR800 VTEC |

Can usually tell which burrow holes are active and which ones don't have residents so it's easy enough to decide which rabbit hole to make your toilet. |

No
It's best to go for the ones that are empty because that means you can take a shit without thinking about the sort of question that Big Ham mentioned.... 'what if it's not a rabbit living down there but a small badger!?!?!'

Screw nappy bags, I needed these triple bagged when I was in France. Shame I didn't have any on me, so ended up crop spraying

That 'bog in a bag' product the OP posted... is that stool just one of those poundland jobbies?
If so, fuck sitting on one of those! They are tiny and so close to the ground your more comfortable sitting on the floor, i bought one on a whim, got it home and presumed it stretched out a bit, it doesen't...
Dig a hole between two trees, brace yourself between the trees with your legs out in front (important!) curl one out, cover it, dispose of toilet paper separately or plant it with it... and voila
If you fail to put your legs out in front then you cack all over your pants, not cool. ____________________ Bringing Classic Bikes Back Into Fashion

Brace yourself between two trees? Easier just to find a small one to hold on to.

Pack a lighter to set fire to used toilet paper was the advice I was given - personally it's a potential messy nightmare and fire hazard to boot!
Just use as little paper as possible, bury with the rest or take the scented nappy bags, put used paper in there and dispose of it asap in a refuse bin!
I'm very lucky as on the whole my bowel and bladder are very well behaved and wild camping friendly as tested recently. I was able to either wait until we stopped at a cafe for a breakfast and make use of more salubrious facilities or I toodled off, dug my latrine with a rock/stick and found a tree to lean against to make it easier! I'm not a fan of using wild facilities but given the state of some of the WC's in France on occasion I chose to make like a bear!! ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'
