Hidy all,

Frank here.

For some background on the bike.

I've got a 72 Suzuki T250J that needs the top end done, but since it's 38 years old with an unknown history, I want to go ahead and pop the cases, verify the trans and have the crank built (mainly worried about old seals).

I picked it up knowing it would be a full build (even if it is ok, I want this bike to be around). Cosmetically, it's great. The engine is probably good.

The PO had the cylinders bored .5 and purchased .5 overbore pistons, but couldn't get the cylinders back on the pistons. He had the wrong rings. He filled the cases with diesel fuel and parked it in the garage, where it sat for 5 years.

After $100 for it and a craftsman riding mower, it's mine.

SO, I'm looking for info. First and foremost, I'm looking for repair manual advice.
Would anyone happen to have suggestions / opinions on what manual (s) would be best here? There are numerous available and I'm at a loss selecting.

I'm certain I'll have future questions, and sorry for the long post, but I wanted to provide what information I could think of.

Thanks,
Frank

EDIT:
Wanted to add that any suggestions on the rebuild are welcomed and appreciated. Especially for those who've built this setup. This is my first Hustler type build since the 70s.
