Does such a thing exist?

I usually use a big chain which seems about as good as it gets in in the quest for quality vs portability and I wouldn't expect a cable to be anywhere near as good, but I'm off on a small 125 tour and the weight and bulk of the huge chain plus luggage is a non starter. Things that never mattered on the 600 become issues now that I'm down to 10hp!

Thinking a plastic coated cable lock might be an idea as it's light and can be looped around the rack without causing damage. Obviously won't stop much but a reasonable one should surely prevent opportunist theft.

Any recommendations for a good motorcycle-grade cable lock?

cheers

Depends on how much you think your ride is worth.
ALDI £15 or something better for £50-60.

Weight is critical but a cheap one may weigh as much as an expensive one.

Sorry if not much help. I gave up with the chaining up thing long time ago. I only chain it up in the garage longterm now.

I do not even claim a lock on my insurance proposal as the cnuts will rape you if the bike gets nicked and they find out that the chain wasn't on it. Smile
