no it means there is no longer a V5 on their system, the vehicle will be shown as scrapped and cannot be used on the road. ____________________ Current : '08 Yamaha FZ1s

You'd probably be able to apply for an age related plate for it from the DVLA if it still has all the original bits.
You'll need some sort of proof of the date of manufacture. Usually one of the owners clubs can provide this for a small fee.

You can try. But I'll garauntee they will be as unhelpful as possible.
Don't tell them who you are, they'll probably try to fine you or your mate for something. Ask your questions in general terms only and don't produce documents unless it looks like they are going to actually do something useful with them. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
