Hi all
I used to be a regular on here, mostly asking how to fix a GPZ500S which was forever falling apart. Then I got divorced and had to sell the bike for the little money I could get for it!
Now I've sorted myself out I picked up a new zx6r last week!
I haven't done anything to it yet but intend to do the usual, tail tidy, exhaust, double bubble screen, other than that I think it's quick enough for me!!!!
Still only done 250 miles so got a little way to go before the first service and then I'll feel happier about using all the revs!!!!
Glad I got it just in time to enjoy the weather!

ms51ves3: why does it need 500 miles? Are you teaching it how to be a piston?

Well things were going well for a few weeks until a combination of pulling out of a driveway on cold tyres on a cold evening and a lose throttle cable meant I got high-sided onto my arse! Bike went spinning down the road Embarassed

Have replaced the handlebar and brake lever. Just got to get a new RH top and lower fairing and exhaust cover.
Will be taking it very carefully from now on!
Read in a bike mag that the Batlax BT016 tyres aren't very good at all when cold. Anyone else found this?

Welcome back, don't personally like your bike, a little too angular for my taste (as are a lot of the newer modern bikes), but it's what you like that counts as you're riding it... Laughing Thumbs Up
