Just for info really......

Looking for a second car policy i came across swiftcover.com on go compare - looking at their NCB criteria they state:

(Proof of NCB) This must fit the following criteria:
•issued by your previous insurer in the UK
•less than 24 months old
•earned in the UK (not abroad) on a private car or motorbike
•if earned on a motorbike the Policy Holder must be aged 22 or over
•has your name as the policyholder
•earned on a full UK licence
•not used to insure another vehicle

swiftcover came out cheapest for me on go compare anyway so its a double donus that i can use my 4 years NCB from my old second bike policy too. Thumbs Up

How do insurers know if you're using your no claims on another policy? I have 6 years on the bike and have just passed my car test and would like to use it simultaneously but everywhere is saying you can only use it on 1 policy at a time. I'm not going to try it because I'll probably get done for fraud or something but I was just wondering is all.

they share the information, probably find that you could get away with it until a claim was made and they check stuff out
