After spending a good few hours over the last couple of weeks doing a good service and thorough clean of my GasGas the ungrateful fookin' thing decides to stop working 20 minutes before it's due at the MOT place.

I opened the garage door to find it's come off the stand and fallen slightly to the left hand side wedged up against some other stuff. No worries it's only at about 20 degrees of lean, nothing major. Then I noticed that it's emptied the contents of its fuel tank onto the floor through the carb overflow tube. I'm guessing the float has got stuck - it's done it before and can be sorted out easily enough.

Then I find that pulling in the clutch lever doesn't disengage the clutch properly - I can pull the lever in fully and select first gear and when I push the bike forward the rear wheel just skids. Now this it hasn't done before. Being a hydraulic clutch there wasn't much I could adjust to see if that made a difference.

Could the clutch issue be in anyway related to the carb issue? Any chance of fuel contaminating the clutch?

I suppose I might need to bleed the clutch, is this done the same way as bleeding brakes?

I suppose the other option is to have a look at the clutch plates and see if they're still within their wear limits, although I would have expected some signs that they were on their way out.

Any other ideas or help?

Thanks.
