Gsxr Cylinder head removal

i have a Gsxr 400 and the motor feels like it is stuck or the piston is touching the valve. The motor only turns +-300 degrees back and forth but asa soon as it comes to a certain point it just stuck there.

I would like to know if i can remove the cylinder head without taking the motor out of the bike? If yes, what tools will i need to pull such a job off.

Oh and btw, this is my first bike and i don't have a clue of what goes on in the engine.

the cam timing is wrong.
Dont touch it. You will break it even more.
Get someone who knows more than you to help.

You can get the head off with the engine in situ on a gsxr400, but if you cant see what tools you need to take it off, then dont even try. All that'll happen is another post will be made thats like 'my head lifts up but wont come off and ive taken off the bolts'

The guys down here in RSA don't come cheap with fixing bikes.
That's why I would opt to do it myself, seeing that I do have alot of experience with car repairing, I figured that the bike wouldn't be that much different. Wink

The tools I was refering too was, would I need any special tools besides a torque wrenc or will the ordinary tools work?

I have already started stripping, but stopped after I removed the rocker cover. Before I forget one of the rockers also broke. Sad
