What companies do the younger ones here use? im 20 and I will have 3 years no claims on my next bike, I want full comp insurance and on a CBR600F I am getting quotes of nearly £800!

TPFT is quite a bit cheaper but still over £400.

Im sure I hear people saying theyre getting much cheaper than that on bikes like Gixxers etc...?

A fazer 600 is quite a lot cheaper to insure but it is still not cheap.

I have found you get cheaper quotes on Triumphs as they must have a bit of an old man image, also try express insurance they where always good for me.

Problem is I need to get the bike for less than £1100, idealy enough less to get most of the insurance too.

Most triumphs come quite a bit above that, shame 'cos they do some nice bikes!

Try bikesure.co.uk

Last year I was paying £500+ with another company. i changed to bikesure and now I am only paying £140.

In addition to this, I also have:

Arrow European Cover (up to 90 Days).
Arrow European Breakdown cover (EU countries a few others).
Arrow Pillion Passengers.
Arrow Ride any bike (with owners permission)

Which I didn't have last year with my previous insurer.

Yep still on the ntv at the moment, it's in a pretty terrible state though, not really worth spending the money to sort it out 95,000 miles Laughing

Using tesco compare to get my quotes at the moment, would i be getting much cheaper quotes going directly to individual insurers?

I found Carole Nash most competitive for 2 years running on my CB500. However, their renewal wasn't, it's only when i told them about the shopping i'd been doing that the renewal price dived (to about a third).
