For the same reason that those calipers seem to eat through seals and pistons and are an arse bandit to bleed - just to pi$$ you off Thumbs Up .

If you don't need the full set, get Kawasaki ones. If your bike is a Suzuki they will only sell a set but Kawasaki sell individual seals for the exact same calipers.

Just be careful as there are two (possibly more) combinations of piston sizes per caliper.

Absolutely - supply and demand

You could try your local industrial estates and see if there's any rubber goods production companies in there - most will make seals - they might have something the same design or be able to adapt a current job

We live in the throw-away age, everything needs to be replaced every so often...that's how these people make their money. You need it, you have to buy it...they will fleece you.

If it worked forever, then they wouldn't make any money from you. Exclamation

Some of the calipers have 6 x 27mm some have 4 x 27mm and 2 x 24mm.

Shouldn't be expensive, about £30 a set.

It's a feckin rip, it's the same with manufacturer supplied bolts etc - most cost about £3 a piece.
