That badly translated, hilarious little manual that came with my bike says the following:
Quote:
Cold tire (sic) pressures (kPa (Kg/cm, psi))
FRONT - 200 (2,00)
REAR - 225 (2,25)

I've had my bike for 18 months and I am getting the slightest feeling that I should have checked the tyre pressures at least once before now. Mr. Green

Anyway, what is this shitty little book trying to tell me? My pressure guage only deals in 'psi', but if I'm reading the above properly its telling me there should be no air in the front tire. Now I'm no mechanic, but that's clearly wrong! Rolling Eyes

Doesn't that mean the tires are to be inflated to 200psi for the front tire and 225psi for the rear tire? Confused

A lil further down it says:
"Check the tires for cuts, imbedded mails or other sharp objects."

Who writes these things? Howcome I don't get mail in my tires? Razz

I think the tyre pressures should be as follows.

Single (no pillion)
Front 25 PSI (1.7 bar)
Rear 32 PSI (2.2 bar)

Two up
Front 25 PSI
Rear 36 PSI (2.5 bar)

If this is not correct, I'm sure some1 here will correct it.

I wish I still had the manual for my old Malaguti, it was truely a triumph of translation from Italian Smile

In the manual it says there's no change in pressure if you're riding a pillion aswell. Bit silly really. Confused

Yeah Bendy this manual must of been translated from Italian too there's never ending mistakes. Rolling Eyes

There is a universal pressure I use for all my bikes - kick it and see if it is hard. If it is, the pressure is correct Smile
