Hi,
go a TZR recently...unrestricted but lacking the servo etc.

I retrofitted the server/controller etc and it all worked but seemed to lack the top end it had with the valve clamped open.

Just tried re-justing it forwards of the specified location and it flies!

rather than lining the notch up with the hole I lined up with the casting line in front of it.

now it will sit at 75mph @ 8000rpm and will hit 90

Not bad for a 20 year old toy.

cheers

With the exhaust off you can see the valve rotate as it does its cleaning cycle, you will easily tell if it's opening fully and can adjust the cables accordingly.

90 mph on an old 125? is your speedo accurate get the calculater out and calculate what speed you should be doing at say 8000 rpm,
or refer to the manual failing that get a mate to clock you with a satnav.
most speedos tend to be a little optemistc.

here`s a link to the 250 forum and a very informative thread about tweeking tzr powervalve controlers

yeah I shoved my fingers up the port and gave it a twiddle
i think thats legal.

I wonder if the controller/servo/pulley is a bit out....it rotates a bit up towards 6000 RPM but doesnt seem to go as far as the "cleaning cycvle" when you switch the ignition on

nice link .. cheers for that

...not really bothered about the speed but a bit dissapointed I spent a fair bit of cash and effort putting in the servo and controller and whilst it sorted the low end out (as far as you can on a 125) the top end defo less than pegged open. And slightly suprised that pushing the adjustment off "factory" made it better.

...and I was keeping up with the fast lane on the A23 which is usually the naughty side of 70 even in the motor.
