Yamaha 125DT drive sprocket removal?

Hi

Is there a secret to removing the drive sprocket on a 2001 Yamaha DT 125 R?

Is it reverse thread or is just really tight or is some other secret I should know about...? Confused

Any help would be gratefully received...

With your rear wheel on and chain on, get the bike in 1st gear or have a friend use the rear brake (lock the back wheel) and then undo, it would help if you have a breaker bar tbh as the leverage makes undoing things easier. Thumbs Up

No worries mate, you start to learn tricks like this the longer you have a bike, keep ontop of your 2t oil and make sure its a good quality one.
The DT's need a nice average rate of maintainance, keep it clean and in good order and on resale it will fetch a pretty penny.
